Project C: We Have The Power

Colorado Carbon Fund Group Special License Plate

Colorado Carbon Fund License Plate

Donate to the Colorado Carbon Fund and show your support for clean energy in Colorado!

Getting your Project C license plate is easy:

First, make a donation to the Colorado Carbon Fund. To be eligible for the plate you must make a donation to the Colorado Carbon Fund. We recommend making a donation to offset at least 50% of your vehicle’s annual emissions, but require a minimum $25 donation. You can calculate your vehicle's emissions and make a donation by credit card on www.coloradocarbonfund.org

Second, during the donation process on the ColoradoCarbonFund.org website, make sure you check the box to receive a Colorado Carbon Fund license plate certificate good for one set of license plates. Please make sure the name you enter matches both your credit card and your vehicle title. After your transaction is processed you will receive an email with a receipt and the certificate.

Third, print out your Colorado Carbon Fund license plate certificate and bring it to your local county clerk. You must also have everything you normally bring to register your vehicle, so please check with your local county clerk’s office to be certain you have everything you need to get your plates. The state also charges a $50 fee for this plate, which is in addition to the donation you make to the Colorado Carbon Fund. Information is available at: Colorado Department of Revenue, Division of Motor Vehicles web site

Do I have to make my donation online with a credit card?

We use the website to keep transaction costs low, but if you prefer to make your donation by mail, please call (303) 866-2309 to request a donation form to mail in with your personal check. If you make the minimum donation required, we will then mail you a certificate.

If you have any questions, please contact Susan Innis, Colorado Carbon Fund Program Manager at (303) 866-2309.
